Das flüssige Gold vom SLYRSee ist ausgezeichnet

Bei der renommierten International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) im englischen Cranleigh bei London werden dieses Jahr gleich vier SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whiskys mit 2 Gold- und 2 Silbermedaillen ausgezeichnet.

• Gold (95 Punkte): SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky Aged 12 Years Judges Tasting Notes: A beautifully sweet and aromatic dram. There are so many flavours to speak of, including herbal, sweet and estery fruit, cereal notes, sweet confectionery, jam and stewed fruit smothered in clotted cream. Blackcurrants and a minty freshness on the long and sweet finish.

• Gold (95 Punkte): SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky Rum Cask Finishing Judges Tasting Notes: A big mouthful of a whisky that pleases as much as it intrigues. Sweet jamminess with a creamy spiciness, some dried fruit, as well as fresh red berries and lovely soft toffee and treacle touches. This is really well put together and wonderfully balanced, as emphasised by the long, elegant finish.

• Silber (91 Punkte): SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky Pedro Ximénez Cask Finishing Judges Tasting Notes: This has some nice toffee and treacle flavours, along with citrus-fruit sweetness. An almost green, fresh maltiness and possibly the merest hint of peat smoke on the finish.

• Silber (90 Punkte): SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky Classic Judges Tasting Notes: A creamy toffee and honey sweetness, with spicy, fragrant stewed apples and apricots. There are some subtle sage and oregano herbal notes on the finish.
